  • 83.3 percent of the U.S. Internet audience viewed online video.
  • The duration of the average online content video was 5.2 minutes, while the average online video ad was 0.4 minutes.
  • Video ads accounted for 12.6 percent of all videos viewed and 1.2 percent of all minutes spent viewing video online.

When people don't know how to do something today, they search the Internet to find the information they need.  Since videos are included in the search engine results, more people are clicking on those than any other website related search results. 

Now consider an advertisement that tells you about the product, but provides no other useful information.  Compare that with a video that isn't just an advertisement, but provides useful information for the viewer.  Which business would you remember?

The importance of video in promoting your business isn't in the quality of the video, but in the quality of the information that is provided and the connection you can make with the viewer.
